I will discuss the recent excitement in flavor physics and the possibility of a novel path to establishing new physics (NP). Topics include a review of CPV, decays that are sensitive to charged Higgs bosons, and angular anomalies in B->K* l+ l-. The next generation of flavor physics facilities, Belle II and the LHCb upgrade, and their NP capabilities will be discussed. The role of Hawaii in the Belle II experiment will be briefly described.
