Description
The recently proposed Daya Bay reactor neutrino oscillation experiment, located in the south of China near Hong Kong, is designed to measure the neutrino mixing angle sin2 (2θ_13) to a precision of 0.01 at 90% C.L. This is one order of magnitude improvement over past experiments. Details of the detector design, systematic error and background estimation, sensitivity optimization, etc. will be discussed. Current status on the tunnel construction, detector R&D, engineering design and construction will be reported.
