Description
One of the big open questions in physics is the nature and origin of the particles with the highest energy ever observed, the Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays (UHECR).
In the recent decade, the radio detection of atmospheric particle cascades initiated by UHECR has had a revival. Driven by the result of several ground-based and balloon-borne experiments the understanding and modeling of the emission from these particle cascades has been greatly improved. In this colloquium I will discuss the latest results in the field and highlight some future projects.
