The S(3) symmetry broken in a specific way, which we call K-M mechanism for the mass matrices, is applied to both quark and lepton sectors. In quark sector, the agreement with the observed CKM matrix is perfect. In lepton sector, we have a one parameter fit to the neutrino mixing matrix. Theta(12) and theta(23) are related and theta(13) is determined either by theta(12) or by theta(23). Kamland data suggests that theta(13) may be within the reach of experiments which are currently going on. A theoretical model to realize such a mechanism is suggested.
