Description
In this seminar I will depict the recent detector developments I have been involved into. These application specific devices, ranging from solid state to Multi Channel Plate based systems have its own specifics. Maybe we can learn something from these two very different technologies and their development paths, which could result in a new detector development direction for future High Energy Physics applications.
The seminar is intended for students and faculty interested in the instrumentation frontier, and savvies in high tech craft in general. Hopefully even general public might find it of interest.
(This is a joint High Energy Seminar and not a regular general physics colloquium.)
