Description

I will describe analyses of "penguin" B-meson decays on Belle at the KEK laboratory in Tsukuba, Japan. "Penguins" involve b->s quark loop transitions and may be sensitive to physics beyond the Standard Model. Measurements of a number of three-body modes including B=>Kpipi, B=>KKpi and B=>KKK will be discussed. In contrast to two-body decays, analyses of these channels are more complex and require the inclusion of quantum-mechanical interference effects of contributing quasi-two-body amplitudes. These interference effects also open new possibilities to search for CP violation (matter-antimatter asymmetry) in B-meson decays.
