Description

The WIMP cold dark matter paradigm was established by the historical development and application of an array of observational and theoretical tools. These powerful tools of modern astrophysics are a foundation for probing the connection between galaxies and dark matter with the awesome data of next generation cosmology. I will highlight new applications of these tools and describe how to exploit the synergy of observation and theory to shine a light on dark matter.
