Description

The mass hierarchy of neutrinos is not yet resolved, and the question of CP violation by neutrinos is still a complete unknown. To address these questions a long baseline experiment from FNAL to the new Deep Underground Science and Engineering Lab (DUSEL) in South Dakota is being planned. The massive detectors needed for this experiment will also extend the search for proton decay and be used to look for the diffuse neutrino flux expected from supernovae at cosmological distances.
