Description

Since the discovery of neutrino mass through their oscillations in 1998, the study of neutrinos has become a pillar of particle physics. In this talk a brief overview of the standard model of particle physics will be followed by a review of the physics and history of neutrinos, neutrino mass and neutrino oscillations. The talk will conclude with a look at a sampling of recent and future neutrino oscillation experiments including MiniBooNE, Daya Bay and a proposal known as LENS-Sterile.
