IceCube has announced the first evidence for the existence of a high-energy flux of astrophysical neutrinos in 2013. Since then, the observations have been improved with additional detection channels, refined methods and longer exposure. The talk reviews the current observational status and the attempts to characterize this flux and identify its origin.
