Description
A selection of recent measurements by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider is presented. I've attempted to choose results that differ from predictions by a couple of sigma as these might be places where interesting things could happen, or at least we may need to learn more to fully understand their implications. Topics to be covered include the search for Higgs boson pair production in the γγbb final state, measurements of top-quark pair differential cross sections in the lepton+jets channel, the measurement of the branching ratio Γ(Λb0 →ψ(2S)Λ0 )/ Γ(Λb0 → J /ψΛ0), and a search for gluinos in events with an isolated lepton, jets, and missing transverse energy. The first observation of an excited Bc meson is also described.
