Description
A plethora of amazing results have made 2017 an annus mirabilis for astroparticle physics. The recent observation of EM and gravitational signals from a binary neutron star merger, and the simultaneous detection of EHE neutrinos at IceCube and gammas in Fermi LAT are marking the birth of multimessenger astronomy. Are we ready for this? This review aims to compare the current status of deep sea experiments in the Mediterranean with the prospects of the NTA (Neutrino Telescope Array)proposal on the Big Island of Hawaii.
